Coach Amorim praises Diallo after Manchester derby
After the match, coach Ruben Amorim modestly shared: “We deserved to win thanks to our efforts until the last minute. However, MU still has a lot of work to do. Although this is a big victory, it only brings 3 points like any other match. I understand the happiness of the fans. They cheered with all their heart even when the team was behind. But we need to focus on the next challenges.”
Amorim frankly acknowledged that the team is currently ranked 13th in the rankings and needs to improve to return to the race for the top 4 of the Premier League . He also did not forget to praise the dedication of Amad Diallo: “Amad is very humble, that is an important quality. He and the whole team need to continue to make efforts to progress further.”
Diallo shines, Fernandes full of praise
Amad Diallo was named Man of the Match after a brilliant performance. He won an 86th-minute penalty which Bruno Fernandes converted into an equaliser. Diallo then scored the winner himself with a classy finish in the 90th minute.

Captain Bruno Fernandes did not hesitate to praise his junior: “Amad has shown great ability and I believe he will go further. He is always full of energy, making a difference like against Man City. When playing at this level, Diallo is unstoppable.”
Speaking more about the crucial penalty kick in the 88th minute, Fernandes said: “It’s always a tense moment, but we have to stay calm and execute well. This is what makes the difference in big matches.”
